I grew up on the south shore of Long Island, New York, and spent my 20’s in Southern California. As a child, I began riding waves on a bodyboard, and at twelve years of age I got my first surfboard. The sport/hobby/lifestyle of surfing guided most of my life from that point forward, as I now identified myself as a “surfer.”

Later on, a series of life events including illness, spurred the completion of my higher education and introduced me to the world of photography. With the purchase of basic gear, I naturally gravitated towards the beach and specifically the waves. I wanted to capture and share the years of experience I had gained observing the place where the ocean and land collide. If there is one thing I am both passionate about, and qualified for … this is it.

What started as a natural blend between my personal experience as a surfer and my excitement for photography, eventually became my purpose. I now to recognize my images as shared assets.
